My sister is a drunk, and I hate her now. Usually ONLY when she drinks. But she’s NOT a very nice person anymore, even when she’s NOT drinking. She and I were SO CLOSE growing up too. We were the best of friends, and now I don’t even like her, and it makes me so sad. If she wasn’t my sister, she wouldn’t be someone I would EVER want as a friend. Even when she’s NOT drinking she’s a loud foul mouthed negative person. My other sister committed suicide a couple years ago, and I miss her SO MUCH! So you’d think, that me and my last remaining sister would have become closer. INSTEAD, we only grew even farther apart. Last time she got drunk, she beat the shit out of me, becasue I wouldn’t give her a cigarette. We get along just fine, when she’s NOT drinking, BUT I still don’t like her much as a person, anymore.:-( Ugh… What should I do????

Well you said you miss your other sister, maybe she does too? Maybe she drinks to forget…. Maybe she seperates herself from you cause she never wants to feel pain like she did loosing your sister again? Maybe you should read this to her and tell her you don’t always like her, but that hurts because of how much you love her, I bet you she tells you just how much she loves you back. She hurts herself being drunk more than you and you can’t really expect her to care more about you than herself right now… Give her time, let her know you’re their for her if she needs you. God Bless

So she has an alcohol dependency? Hmm… If you are feeling this way about her, take a break from her. Focus on yourself for a while, and the grief you feel for your lost sister. If your sister can’t sort herself out, think about an intervention later on down the track, but for now… You need time for yourself & how you feel about things.
